Pre - Academic Preparatory Program

Academic Preparatory Program (Ages 18-19)

Atidim places emphasis on special population groups within our society, who have been defined as worthy of advancement, including: Ethiopian immigrants, Bedouin, Cherkessk, Druze and third generation Israelis in distress, highlighting the advancement and empowerment of young women.  Atidim has developed for these populations a unique track of one year academic preparatory programs.  These programs focus on those with the potential to join the IDF academic reserve; the goal of these programs is to enable the participants to be accepted into the academic reserve, upon completion of the program.  Participants join the preparatory program immediately after completing high school and before their induction into the army. The program includes intensive studies and preparation for being accepted to the most prestigious faculties of academic institutions.

Subjects taught
Among the subjects taught in the program are: math, English, scientific writing and an additional science subject (physics, chemistry or biology).

Studies take place at three institutions of higher education: the Technion, Haifa, Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv University.

Placement in the preparatory program is decided by the IDF after the selection process and based on the personal data of each pupil.
